Fiksu® is the one-stop-shop for all your mobile marketing needs. Our roots lay in mobile apps and our future is mobile advertising based on first party mobile data.
Founded by current CEO Micah Adler in late 2008 as Fluent Mobile, we quickly realized the technologies, tools and expertise we developed to successfully promote our own mobile app could be used more broadly to help mobile marketers.
So in 2011, with a new direction, the company was renamed Fiksu, from the Finnish word meaning smart or clever. At that time that we also developed FreeMyApps®, now the world’s largest app discovery and rewards platform.
And just like the mobile industry, we have continued to evolve since then.
We currently work with leading brands, agencies, mobile-first companies, and game publishers, including Coca Cola, Dunkin' Donuts, Groupon, Amazon Kindle, Zynga, and Hill Holiday, helping them achieve their mobile marketing goals. Our work has garnered us a number of awards including a 2014 Gold Stevie—considered the business world’s version of an Oscar—for Mobile Marketing Campaign of the Year, as well as back-to-back honors at the Effective Mobile Marketing Awards for Most Effective Mobile Advertising Platform.
We’ve become the premier mobile marketing experts thanks to the massive amount of data—including 3.2 billion app downloads and 4.1 trillion marketing events—that we’ve been able to collect and analyze over the years. We leverage this knowledge to allow marketers to reach precise mobile audiences programmatically at scale.
As a leader in the mobile industry, we’ve been featured in VentureBeat, Forbes, Bloomberg, The Huffington Post, Wall Street Journal and more. While we’re extremely proud of our achievements, our success is truly due to the great team of more than 260 employees we’ve assembled at our headquarters in Boston and across our eight global offices.
Of all the recognition we’ve received, we’re most proud to have been named one of Boston Business Journal’s Best Places to Work three years running, including receiving the #1 honor in 2013.
